| Ears Question I searched for this question, but couldnt find it so if Im reposting sorry. My new baby thats 17 weeks has floppy ears. Does this mean they will always flop???? If not what should I do to make the stay up? FYI I dont know anything about grooming yet. I raised show poodles and groomed them, but I have a lot of learning to do for Yorkies!!! |

| Shave the ear flap with a mustache trimmer or a Wahl Peanut trimmer. The weight of hair can contribute to floppy ears. Teething is another thing that can cause the ears to go down. You can try taping the ears. Here is one thread on floppy ears: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...oppy-ears.html For more threads, try using Google search: Yorkietalk floppy ears

| I agree. Shave the tips of the ears to get the weight of the hair off the ears. My yorkies ears didn't stand up until I shaved them at around the same age as your yorkie.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | OUTSTANDING! Thanks for the update! I didn't realize this thread was that old. I was going to have you look into taping the ears, which some people have done effectively.
