Donating YT 10K Club Member | Is this a puppy vs an adult in full coat? If it's a pup about six months and it will look like he's had a puppy cut. The benefit of shaving a pup....no dealing with puppy coats and matting.

| I'm not sure if he's an adult yet or not he's 9 months old and his fur has been changing color for a couple of months from around the top of his neck to almost his tail its been turning like a silvery color. Also he has matting since his previous owners didn't groom him properly so I'm pretty sure I HAVE to shave him I just wanted a ruff estimate of how long it takes to grow back because I dont want him to walk outside with no fur in this weather |

| Hello and Welcome to YorkieTalk! It took about a year for Piccolo's hair to grow long from a very short "hairdo." Sounds like you are doing the correct thing if he has all those matts. You can always put a sweater on him when he goes outside.

| Good Luck, Time will fly by! The groomer can always keep his hair a little longer around his face and ears, I think those cuts look cute too. Good Luck! Carrie & Tucker |
