Yorkie Yakker | I'm sure this has been discussed but.... Hey everyone I'm sure this has been discussed but I'd like to ask it anyway..What finishing spray do you guys find to work the best for every day use? I currently use Ultra Max Finishing Spray. Although it worked well for a while I'm noticing a build up on Etta's coat. She gets bathed once a week and groomed EVERY day. Every few baths I use a clarifying shampoo. I just don't like the buildup I'm finding after several days with the finishing spray. She is 7 months old and I have noticed the change starting in her coat both texture and,of course, length. Any ideas would be so appreciated....Thank you in advance............. Etta's mom... |

| I like Espree High Sheen Finishing Spray on sale here: Espree Natural High Sheen Finishing Spray for Dogs & Cats ...also like Pet Silk Coat Control Finishing Spray and John Paul Detangling Spray is okay without build up. Chris Christensen Ice on Ice gets high praise, but I have not tried it. Always mean to but just have not gotten around to ordering. I look to make sure it is more a detangling/conditioning spray than a control spray. The control sprays are like hair spray and more inclined to build up in their coat.

| I'd just like to add that at 7 months old her coat is changing - she'll loose the puppy coat and grow in her adult coat. I'm sure that's having a major impact on the results you're getting. I was told to only use the clarifying shampoo once a month - and we have hard water. I'm not familiar with all the products you're using but you might want to look into that. You could be using it a little too frequently.

For C C ice on ice haven't yet gone back to using it; I found it made his coat greasy, but after chatting with a few folks here, I hadn't diluted it enough.

Yorkie Yakker | Thanks for all the info..I did find a small bottle of the Espree Natural High Sheen Finishing Spray at Petco today. I'm gonna give that a try. I would also like to try the Ice on Ice. I really liked what I read about it. |
