| Shampoo & Conditioner Just wondering if anyone knows of a good unscented shampoo and conditioner for Yorkies. Maybe Im doing something wrong but after I bathe my dogs they still stink!. Not sure if its a combination of what I use and oils in the hair. But they seem to be stinky all the time. Seems like they always smell like wet dog! I am currently using Hertz Oatmeal shampoo and a Pantene Conditioner. I bathe weekly, brush before and blow dry. I dont mind a scented shampoo and conditioner (actually prefer them to smell good) Just looking for something new to try. Whats the dif between biogroom and Yorkie splash and shine? Thanks for the help |

| I have used the Hartz Oatmeal and something from the pet store that had Arm & Hammer baking soda in it -- both left my pup with wet doggy smell. Mixing the Hartz with Pantene is probably making the smell worse. The slightly more expensive shampoo and conditioners will leave your pup smelling nice. I like the scent of PetSilk. Biogroom is great for the coat, but the scent reminded me of a hair salon. I used it for the first time this week and the smell is growing on me. Chris Christiansen is another great brand. I think the scent of CC "Day to Day" is coconut based. I haven't used Splash 'n Shine, but reviewers have described it as smelling "heavenly." |

Just to explain a litle about Splash and Shine (since I make it) - it is organic and works WITH the natural skin oils, instead of against them. Most shampoos (since they are mostly man-made chemicals) clean by stripping away everything - dirt, oils, etc. Our shampoo removes dirt, but leaves most of the healthy oils and lets the Yorkie's skin restore it's natural balance. In most cases, the "stinky" dog problem is because the body is over producing skin oils lost during bathing. With a more natural shampoo, the oils aren't lost so the body isn't over-producing them. I think Splash and Shine is completely different from any other shampoo and conditioner on the market. Since it's organic, it can be a "hard sell" sometimes, but it, in my opinion, is a great product for all Yorkies, particularly those with sensitive skin or a a smell issue. Of course, I make it, so I am completely biased.

| I just ordered Splash and Shine samples today, and a full-size bottle of the Sheen detangler. I'm so excited! Sarah - thanks for making your site e-commerce and offering more payment options. I tried to place an order earlier this week after reading another thread full of yorkie owners raving all about your product, but PayPal always causes me problems, and I gave up! Is there any difference between the blue and red bottles? |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ohhh I just got my Yorkie Splash and Shine in the mail yesterday and bathed my baby w/ it today... I love it... it didn't make his hair feel likeit had residue in it... I know i have only had him for a week and a half but he got a bath the 2nd day he was home so he can smell good, and the stuff i was using to comb him made it feel yucky... needless to say he smells good right now and his hair is not as "puffy" I also bought the spray stuff to brush him w/ everyday...

| HANDS DOWN, Yorkie Splash & Shine is the only shampoo and conditioner we use in our house. I tried a sample of Biogroom and didn't care for it at all. I've never seen Toby's hair so shiny and manageable. I won't use anything else. I even take it to the groomer when he goes and I tell her to NOT spray any perfume on him because I want to be able to smell the Yorkie Shine for several days! The groomer really likes it too. So for those of you that are hesitant about trying a new product, go for it! You won't regret it.

| There are many great shampoos are there. I've seen a few reviews talking about Bio Groom. I don't know anyone that uses Bio Groom. Did you find a good shampoo/conditioner? There are many good choices available. |
