Donating YT 500 Club Member | Petsilk makes a hair gel you can use or a product called "Stick'em Up" is good too. Pull as much of the hair as you can up in a band (be careful, not too tight) and any of the stray hairs can then be gelled to stay up. You might have to redo the topknot during the day if it comes out. And, I always comb out and fix the topknot at bedtime and in the mornings.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I do leave their topknots in overnight, but I use the soft scrunchie type hair band (usually can find them in the "infants" section of Wal-mart, or even drug stores will have some). During the day I will use either the scrunchies or hair bands. Gemy gave you some links for the bands and stick-em up, they would probably have better shipping prices for you than anyplace here you could order them.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I've ordered from Needs N Desires before and noticed they are in Canada. I saw the latex bands there. They also sell #1 all systems hair gel - I've never used it before, but it would probably work just as well as other gels. Welcome To Needs N Desires - Choose Your Preferred Store

| I've never used the "gel" for a topknot. What does it do? Does it just make it more manageable, or prettier?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I use it to keep up the little flyaway, stray hairs that will fall back into their eyes. It's great for when you're growing out a topknot and have shorter hairs that don't quite get caught up in the band.

| Oh thanks! Good to know because I'm going to try and let my little Greta grow hair for a topknot. Her hair is soooo THICK and stiffer than most! Not sure it will work like my other yorkie's hair....hers is normal yorkie hair. lol
