| triming ears or not what is the reason for shaving the tips of the ears? Is it just to help them stand up? If the ears are up and the hair doesn't pull them down would you just leave them alone? Does everyone shave the tips or do you just let the hair grow? Is it strictly for looks? |

| Sometimes if a puppy has a heavy coat it does help ears to stand by trimming or shaveing all of the hair off of their ears, but for 1 that has his ears up already or is a grown dog it is for appearence, but they do look so sweet when they are well groomed.
