| Help. What should be done? My Jetty (male) is very matted in areas. We've always had trouble keeping his coat from being tangled. It's very fine, like baby hair. I am thinking I should have him shaved and just start all over. He doesn't like to be brushed so I don't do it nearly as often as needed. I know. I know. He prefers to run outside and tear around with my blue heeler and my daughter's puggle. They run and play and Jetty gets rolled and I know this doesn't help his coat any. Should I shave him? |

| Yep and get him a sweater... It is suppose to get cold again... He is having to much fun playing to have to go through the agony of grooming and you will be happier also.

| I am a groomer and I can tell you when they mat it hurts them trying to get the mats out. Sounds like he loves having a goodtime outside so I would keep him short or maybe a puppy cut. I have a female in full coat and she gets brushed everyday. My next yorkie is going to keep a puppy cut.
