Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Need a crash course in bows, FAST! Jillie is going to be in a TV commercial today! A local pet supply store is filming their annual commercial, and a friend whose dog is going to be in it suggested Jillie when they asked if she knew of a little dog to be in it! I found out about it yesterday while at work. My dilemma: I don't know how to put a bow in her hair, and Kelly won't be able to help me. She's asleep now and will be at work before I get up. We have a clip, but it always falls off. Some people have mentioned those rubber bands that are used in braces. I can probably get some of those, but what do I do with it? Pull the hair into a bunch, band it, then put the clip on??? Help!

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Ooooh I so need to know this too! All yall need to wake up and answer this. I went to Target the other day, they have tiny little bands in all colors over in the hair section. But, I couldnt get it, I tried. I am like you, I didnt know how to do it! How much hair do you pull, and where do you start. Bayleighs hair is still growing, so there wasn't much to pull. Bump, Bump! HELP Mike yall! (and me too) hehe |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Using the grooming band...put up her hair. Usually you take the hair from 1/3 away from the corner of their eyes...and from right before their ears. Since she is puppy it's likely all her hair isn't long enough. If you are using a bow with bands...face the bow backwards with the bow band under the grooming band, twist the band so the bow is facing forward and place the bow band under the grooming band again. If you are using a bow with a clip instead.... just place the clip under the grooming band. Personally I would love to watch you put her hair up. LOL. Knock 'em dead star Jillie!!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Grooming band? Bow band? Clip? I'll be lucky if I don't close off her mouth with those instructions! I think I have it figured out, though. Crazy Glue!

Mike, I am speaking from experience here (but please don't ask questions ) DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES use Crazy Glue . It works - I can guarantee that it does.... and it is permanent -- at least until the hair grows out. Can't wait to see the comemrcial. Way to go sweet little Jillie SuperStar! | |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Well, it's over, and I failed miserably. Here's what happened: * First, I couldn't find the clip/bow/or whatever it is that Kelly's been putting in her hair, and she didn't answer her phone at work. * Then I stopped at the grocery store on the way and got a couple different kinds of rubber bands and some tiny clips. * I got to the studio 10 minutes early and started working on her, but her hair wasn't long enough and I couldn't get the band tight enough. Either that or my my stubby fingers were not up to the task. * After 8 minutes, I gave up, but I looked down and the hair on her forehead was sticking STRAIGHT UP, all staticky! She looked like she'd been hanging upside-down all night! * I brushed and combed and licked and finally got it to stay down, so she was her normal shaggy self. * The good news is, she didn't have to do anything. I just held her and got her to look at the camera, and I was able to pull her hair back enough so her face showed. I also had her do a couple tricks, and they oohed and ahhed over that. So maybe it will come out after all. * I suck at this Pageant Dad stuff.
