BANNED FOR NOT SENDING A GIFT EXCHANGE GIFT! | little boys hair in slipknots? I wanted to get people's opinion on this. i wanted to put Denzel hair in a ponytail or slipknot i believe thats the proper term. He's going to the groomer tomorrow and i even wanted to tell the groomer how to cut the top of the hair so he wont look like a girl, however my boyfriend says he don't think i should put his hair up because people will think Denzel is a girl. Do some yorkie owners with little boys put their hair up? or am i crazy |

| I put Ben's up. It does not stay that way too long as the dogs all play so rough someone always pulls his bow out. But if you look at the standard for the Yorkshire terrier, male or female competing in a show has to have their hair drawn up in a topknot with a bow. It is a sign of the breed, not the sex. Tough guys wear bows too!

Yorkie Talker | I have a 1 yr old male Harley. I put his hair up in a topknot. One morning I was late brushing his hair. He got the brush and brought it to me and started barking!!!!! I guess he was tired of waiting on me! Harley's Mom |

Can you and Harley make a trip to Tulsa? I need somebody to explain to him that brushing is a GOOD thing.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I keep Wylie in a cut bc his hair has thinned from health issues. I keep Marcel in full coat, with his hair in a tiny claw-clip. Even though he is a TOTAL stud, he is usually mistaken for a girl. Poor little fella.

| I put Gunnar's hair in a pony tail on top. I like it. my DH and son take it out if I'm not home. The first clip I bought has a skull on it. Gunnar manages to get it out in seconds. He doesn't mind the special elastic bands so much now. I tell people it's what the breed is known for and all the show dogs have a top knot, boy or girl. Go for it! Donna
