| I only cut the nails once a month, unless it is needed.

| Hi. Well we brought our pup home at 8 weeks and he had been bathed by the Breeder for us. We have since then bathed him approximately every 2 weeks since then...keeps them sweet smelling..and doing it at a young age also helps them get used to being bathed etc. Also trimming etc. Although my Dustie doesn't like his nails done..I have to try to do them when he is sleepy in stages etc. So if I were you I would bathe the pup now...and keep up the good work.. At 11 weeks it is o.k. to do so...so don't worry...just be gentle with him and you will do just fine..!! Chriann..

| we've been doing "bath time" in our house since 12 weeks when he came home. Usually about every 2 weeks, sometimes it ends up being more like every 4 days if he falls in the pool or steps in muck or something...(ok, or if his big brother the german shepherd mouths him and gets drool all over him!) As long as you use appropriate shampoo you should do GREAT! Kate |

| I've been bathing Missy once a week since I got her at 7 weeks of age. I also clip just the very tips off her nails once a week.

| You can bathe him every other week. Be carefull with the ears, do not let water in his ear canal... to avoid ear infections. You may want to block the ear canal with cotton balls to be safer. Nails can be done every week at this age , they tend to grow fast and sharp. It is better to keep them trimmed to keep the "quick " of the nails from getting too long, that is the vein that grows inside the nail. Congrats to you and your new baby !!!
