| Puppy Grooming Ok I have a couple of questions about grooming a puppy! I have been looking into getting either Minksheen shampoo of the Buddy wash system (shampoo, conditioner, ect.). Is this something to start as a puppy or is it too harsh for her skin? If not, what conditioner would go with the Minksheen? Is The Stuff a good conditioner? Also, would I use these shampoos on her face or use a puppy shampoo for that? Also, she tends to get teary eyes which make her face wet and cause her face hair to get crusty and tangled. Is there anything I should be doing for this besides washing her face with water and a cotton ball every morning and combing through with an eyelash comb? TIA for any info! |

| MinkSheen is a good shampoo & it repells insects. You can try a sample, some people don't like the smell...but I love it. It has a condotioner built in, but I use Tomlyn Nova Pearls Cream Rinse conditioner. I've found it to be the best combo. For the face, I use a tearless puppy shampoo. What you're doing for the eyes sounds great. I wipe their eye area daily w/a damp wash cloth to clean the eye goop. The tears can be from the hairs poking her eyes...I keep it trimmed, but can be harder to grow out. If you let it grow, it'll settle nicely from the weight. Pet Silk top knot gel can be helpful in taming those hairs...some use vasaline.
