| No More Tangles? Isn't there some kind of product to use to get rid of tangly, matty hair? Rhianna's hair is a MESS! Her hair is a very fine, maybe cottony coat? I brush her several times a day and she still gets knots . . .I just don't get it? I'm about ready to shave her down . . . On the other hand, Brody's hair is awesome . . .he's never had the problems that she has . . Anyone have any advice on what kind of comb/brush and or product that can be used to reduce the amount of knots she gets?

| Chris Christensen's wood pin brushes are supposed to be amazing in detangling without breaking the hair! Reads like a dream... I'm still hoping to try it out one day. Pin Brushes |

| Yeah, I know the feeling. I got talked into one on a thread last week but I'm about at my wits end. I want her to have the longer hair, but the grooming sessions are getting to be too long and she loses interest. Unless, of course, the Cheerio Monster shows up and feeds her cheerios non stop till I get the tangles out.

After she grows her hair out for me at least ONCE, I promised her I'll try to keep her hair "acceptably" short on her back and belly ever after for her summers! LOL. It's just taking forever to grow out so I know if I don't try now, it'll never happen as I'd just end up keeping it trimmed. She's so not used to the longer hair on her head. I know at times she thinks her mommy put a wig on her or something just to annoy her.

| Okay, well, maybe I'll just have to suck it up and say, "oops" to the hubby for ordering online again!! Or I can wait and see how long I can hold off... |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I love the wood pin brush from CC. I also use the CC pin brush and lately the Emu oil has really helped with getting tangles out. Roxie has such a cottony coat it mats if you look at her, so I am cutting out some mats under her arms, shaving her legs some and her belly. It is just too hard on her to comb them all out every night.

I just bought one for humans while I was doing some grocery shopping at Whole Foods today. So here's to hoping it works the same way! It certainly looks the same though I chose the one made in Germany and their more rectangular shaped one rather than the oval. Maple Wood, I think it says it uses, not sure as they had maple/bamboo products. LOL.

Now I'm going to be testing the different types of wood they use for brushes and see if any one works better than the other! And going to try wood and tortoise toothed combs as well. I just had to run a regular plastic comb through her hair after the brushing to see if it detangled to the roots. Generally, my girl only gets matted where her harness has been for a while. And it's the layer of hair that's lighter in colour--almost white--that seems to be the ones to mat. Mine looks to be a mixed coat.
