| I have a clipper for my other dog, so I just sat on the couch at night with Walker and had the clipper next to him. I let him sniff it and explore it for a good long while and then slowly started to touch him with the clippers. NOT running at the time! Just so he would get a feel for the machine. I did this for a few days, rubbing the quiet clipper all over him. Then I turned it on and started from the beginning: letting him sniff, etc. After a few days of sitting on the couch with the clipper running and nothing bad happening to him, Walker was just fine with it. They're mostly afraid of the sound so if you have anything that might sound like a clipper, that might work just as well. Hope this helps a bit.
