| Bath Time How do you all bathe your Yorkies? I've given mine 2 baths so far and he's not real fond of the process, to put it mildly.I'd appreciate some tips from the pros. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Depends on if shes dirty or not LOL! Sometimes, she goes out and makes a huge mess of herself. If its nice and warm out, sometimes 2x a week followed by conditioner. When its colder, and not outside, maybe once every 2 weeks? Lately its been every few days with the nice weather.

| usually once a week. In the sink. with a mat for them to stand on. Then we blow dry and brush them on the counter, standing on a towel. We use the kitchen sink as I have a deep sink and the faucet is the sprayer wand kind. easy on me and them |

| Bailey gets a bath in the kitchen sink - with towells on the bottom to keep her from sliding around. I use the sprayer. It was quite a chore to give her a bath - until she went to the groomer. After that, Bailey will stand there and tolerate it now. Love that groomer!!

| Our dog used to hate to get a bath. He would shiver and shiver, but now he doesn't mind too much. We just do it in the sink with the sprayer. He always runs around like a rabid dog when he is done, rubbing his body on the carpet, the bed, the couch...anything made out of material. It is HILARIOUS!!! |

| My dog just stands completely still in the bathtub and I use a cup and a washcloth to get him wet. He will even help me and lift up his legs for me to wash them. I never had any issues. |

| I bathe my pup in the kitchen sink with a rubber mat on the bottom (you can get at Walmart). I rinse her mostly under the faucet and then use the spray attachment for harder to reach places. When I wash her face, I comb out the eye gunk with the flea comb after I have wet and washed that area. I use a toothbrush lightly to wash the mustache area and rinse with the sprayer on that area very carefully. She gets dried off on the counter with the towel under her so she can rub her head on it while I blow dry her. I use Chris Christensen Ice On Ice and Silk Spirits to give her more shine. This is what works for me. Don't worry, it'll get easier for your pup as she gets used to it more. |

| It will get easier. I bathe in the bathtub with a mat. Maggie doesn't mind the mat, I think Hot Rod doesn't like the fell of it. It has suction cups so it has bumps. He will step off the mat and stand still.

| Remy goes in the bathtub. It is usually a bit of an adventure so I have to get everything prepared in advance. Towels out and ready, shampoo close by and cup and washcloth ready to go. Once he is in the tub I have to keep my hand fully under his body between his legs to control him. Sometimes he will stand patiently but usually he is looking for a quick escape and is either trying to jump out or run. With my hand under his belly and fingers around his rib cage I can control him easily no matter how much he squirms so he won't hurt himself in the slippery tub. When I have to clean his butt and anal glands it occasionally gets messy in which case his bum goes right under the faucet of warm water for a good rinsing! By the time we are done I am usually quite wet as well - Jack always jokes that I should just get in there with him because my shirt is usually soaked through! |

| Ally stands in the tub perfectly still and I have a removable shower head I use to bathe her with. Afterwards I blow dry her hair and then part it down the middle and make her all pretty. Even as I am blow drying her hair she is still.
