| According to my Yorkie book, it's about 2 yrs old - that's why some people who show dogs buy them when they are around this age so they "know what they're getting" |

| Fiona has changed colors a lot! She still has her black puppy hair just on the tips of her hair- she is 11 months old, and she is silver and tan on her head, I havent gotten her professionally groomed yet since I didnt want to loose her puppy hair! She looks cute!

| I don't know but my Baxter is 16 months, and his head has gone from black to silver, and now he is getting the tan in his head. But in the past several weeks I have noticed that he is getting the silver in his shoulder area and down his sides. It is soooo awsome to watch how much they change colors. It seems like a mystery as to how they will end up.

| My guys have just started to change color too Their black coats are starting to change to silver and it's starting at their heads Their coat texture is changing too as their soft black puppy fur is being replaced it's turning into the adult silky fur I'm curious to see what the end result is going to be

| I was wondering the same thing....my little guy is all black right now but he's only about 11 weeks old so I'm assuming he will be changing colors. He is a morkie, so will he get white too?? I was hoping he would stay all black... |

| When my son brought Gunnar home from his first "puppy cut" grooming, I thought they switched dogs and gave him an older dog! He was silver on top of is head and the black on his body was lighter. He was about 4-1/2 months old. What a difference. He will 6 months old this Saturday.
