| Speaking of grooming I just realized the day I want to groom Rocky is about 6 days (almost a week) after he is getting neutered. Rocky is getting neutered Feb. 6th and I wanted to bring him to the groomer Feb. 12th. The vet did tell me that he is getting the dissolvable stitches. Will I be able to brig Rocky to get groomed though? Will it be too soon since I will just have had him neutered? I am going to call the vet tomorrow because I do have a few questions but I just wanted to see what everyone thought. Thanks. |

| Personally, I would move the grooming appt. back another week. My boys couldn't be bathed till 2 weeks after they were neutered so I think that's a safe time-frame

I agree - I think the vet told me to wait 2 weeks before I could give Lexi a bath. Maybe it's different for boys? Definitely check with your vet.

| You usually need to wait a full week to bathe or groom your dog after surgery. I agree with everyone else with pushing it back a week, just to be safe!

| Thank you everyone. We are actually going upstate a week after his surgery to visit my husbands mom for a week. That is why I wanted to get him groomed but I will make it more for the end of Feb. beginning of March when we come back. Thanks again. |

| I agree, you either have to do it before or wait for 2 weeks. He won't be able to be bathed ot groomed for 2 weeks.
