| Combing hair Hi there I have a Mahina is about six months old and the only color on her that has broken is the hair on her head(it's all silvery white right now). Her body has some silver/white/gray coming through but it's VERY hard to see, you have to separate the hair. Anyway, this isn't about her coloring. When does the puppy coat stop coming through and show it's true texture... is this when they break their color? Is the hair she has now the texture or can I go by the hair on the top of her head? Also when combing her out, I use a metal comb only, is it normal to have fuzzies, some hair not a lot at all, come out. I brush her a minimum of twice a day but I still get these fuzzies... is this puppy hair that's coming out?

| this happened with bentley (the color breaking and the fuzzies) and his hair turned into perfectly silky beautiful hair....in my opinion, it is totally normal...they are shedding the puppy fluff

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Most likely the type of hair on her head is what her body will have at maturity. The fuzzies? They are puppy mats, and aren't they fun My Reno had them until about 6-8 months and it was frustrating to comb out each day. Don't get discouraged though - it does get better!

| Oh okay! I'm relieved now... I thought for a second maybe her hair was falling out... her hair is pretty thin as it is, I don't need any more falling out. It could be puppy mats... I could brush this girl every hour and she would still have tangles... as soon as I brush her she feels the need to rub her body on her blankets and mess up her hair. LOL Well it's nice to know this is normal. Thanks everyone!
