| Silver/Grey Fur on Head My 9 month old Yorkie has had her Silver/Grey fur on the head since she was about... 4 months. It went from black to this Grey and is staying that way. People think she is old because she has silver/Grey hair, but she is actually really young. What will this color turn into, if it will turn at all, or will it be this color forever? at what age should i expect a color change? Below is a good example of how her fur is colored on the top. | :) She is absolutely gorgeous. The turning you are talking about is normal. My LuLu is 9 months old and is grey on the top. She was black when I got her. It's just a normal process.

| She's such a little dolly. She will keep changing her coloring. I'll attach Razrael's pictures of her changing since they both have the same coloring, and you can see what's going to happen to your baby. At 4 month 7 months 11 months and 15 months

| Baxter was all changed by 6 months so I think it varies with dogs. I had his puppy fur shaved off and he was all silver underneath. |

| Suri changed color shortly after I got her, by 12 weeks she was turning color. Now she is almost 6 months old and I noticed a small dark spot in the middle of her forehead that probably indicates another color change as it is getting bigger. Also a few weeks back I shaved Suri's body and she was totally silver but it has slowly turned a steel blue. Yorkies are like chamelions, you never know what color they will be...

| My 9-month-old Yorkie still has silver hair on her head. I keep wondering if/when it will change--you're not alone! |

| My puppy will be 9 weeks on Thursday and she's already starting to change. Around her eyes, near her tail and the top of her head are starting to turn gray. Her mom is silver-blue and her dad is more light tan with a small amount of gray and some black mixed in. It will be interesting to see what she looks like as an adult. |

| yup, usually that black puppy hair will be gone...however, if you look at Fiona's coat, its coming in dark again...this is why i have put off getting her professionaly groomed, cuz i dont want to loose her black puppy hair!
