| Belly grooming How should a yorkies belly be groomed. I have so far been doing good in grooming my yorkie I have done her ears, feet, nails (as best I could ) but the hair on her belly looks a little long... however I don't know exactly where hair should be and where it should.. please advise or if you know of any books I could get that would be great! Thanks!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Tummies and the upper portion underside of their hind legs are usually kept shaved. You can stand her up..holding her front paws to get to this area...or have her stand lift one hind leg...shave and do the other. This area tends to mat very badly...it'll eliminate that problem too.

| I have never cut or shaved Blossom's tummy hair and it's pretty long but as long as I brush and comb her every day we have no problems and she looks great. She's over a year old. |

| When mine are pregnant-I shave, and when not pregnant or its a boy, cut close to belly. Have to be really careful as to not cut or scrape the nipples. |
