| Top Knot question Hi everyone! I'm new here & this is my first post. I was wondering how long I could/should leave the hair up in a top knot? My puppy's hair is long enough to pull up now and it gets in his face and eyes when it's not up. I don't have enough time in the mornings to do his hair before leaving for work so it would either be up for a long time or down in his eyes. I really don't want to cut the hair because it's so cute pulled back, but I don't want it to hurt his eyes either. Does anyone leave theirs pulled up constantly? Would that be too uncomfortable for him? I've been 'lurking' here for a few weeks and learned so many great tips. I'm hoping you can help me again. Thanks! |

| Hi and welcome to YT. I leave Bailey's up most of the time because it falls in his eyes but I make sure it's loose. I take the end of a rat tail comb and pull out at the scalp so it's not to tight.

| All of my yorkies can take out the topknot, so I only give them one when we go out. I have trained the hair to stay on the side of the face, but do love the look of the topknot. |

| how did you train the hair??? ugh, miss buffey is an expert at getting hers out so i was trying to train her hair to just stay out of her face...but as soon as i take out her topknot, she insists on rubbing her face until all the hair on her face is messed up and she cannot see lol

| They all have bangs, so the longer hair on top is farther back on their heads and the long hair on side of face is cut right below the chin. I just keep brushing with a wet hair brush downwards (like how we brush ours). Even if they mess it up, like rolling around or whatever, I will wet it down again. Its just like if we train ours from a middle part to a side part. Hope this made some sense. |
