| My yorkie har thick greesy hair.. I just recently purchased a 1 year old yorkie female, which hair is really weard I know she's a full breed yorkie since she was purchased from a breeder, but what I dont understand is why her hair seems kind of rough not as soft as my male.. what could be the problem her head looks a bit greesy soft but it seems like when you use a straighner on your hair.. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...126_0064-2.jpg Last edited by TALINA86; 10-07-2008 at 11:31 AM. |

| She doesn't look like a purebred Yorkie to me. But that's just my opinion and I could be wrong. I think she has a mix of something else in her...perhaps Pomeranian? She sure is adorable either way! Did you get her from a reputable breeder, or just a "breeder" in general? I'd be leary of a backyard breeder, as they'll tell you anything to make a sale

| I found a picture of a Yorkie Pom so that you can see....the texture of the hair is very similar to your girl's coat. Harley our Yorkie Pom on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

| I'd have to agree that she doesn't look like a pure breed, but she is adorable!!! About the greezy spot on her head Brady's head gets like that after a week or so after his bath. Probably because I give him too many kisses Congratulations on your new baby, she really is cute!! |

| mmm Interesting to read this.. But I dont see how she could be mixed if all her brothers are soo cute and pretty its just her hair is weard!! maybe she does have some sort of mix further down the line because I know for sure both her parents were yorkies... Now I'm worried.. I mean the hair on her body is fine its just her head my neighbor has a yorkie and he had really soft hair and now its starting to feel like hers soft and rough whats wrong with our yorkies.. my teacup male hair is perfectly fine.... but either way I dont mind if she's mixed shes still beutiful! |

| She's adorable Maybe her head looks greasy from lots of petting? My girls get that greasy-headed look because the oil from our hands transfers to them when we pet them on the head, which is all the time
