| Hair breakage I asked the groomer when her eyebrows will grow out because they are always in her eyes. They won't stay in her topknot. The groomer says the hair keeps breaking. Anything I can do so that hair grows out? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | That hair shouldn't be breaking, I wonder if she's cutting it, many groomers do for some reason. It's like they "forget" you are growing it. When I started growing Joey's out, I found that Pet Silk Topknot gel is perfect for this. It has the consistency of honey and works great to keep the hairs out of the eyes. I got mine on e-bay, for $15.00 including shipping, but other places sell it as well, none locally here though. Don't be tempted to use human hair sprays or gel, I used hair spray, sprayed on a small brush, and when the hair would come down it would still get in his eyes. He was diagnosed with cornea ulceration, and although the doctor couldn't say if it was from the hair spray, it probably isn't safe if some gets in their eyes. Some people recommend Vaseline, and I used this for a short time before I got the Pet Silk, it's probably safe, but doesn’t work all day, and I didn't care to much for the greasy look, but it's better than nothing.
