| Mobile grooming? Has anyone ever used a mobile grooming service? If so, how was it? I was really set on grooming Carson and Bailey myself but I think I would be horrible at it honestly I would feel a lot better if the grooming only took an hour instead of them waiting in a cage for 3 hours. I'd also feel a lot better knowing they were right in front of my house and I could peek my head in whenever I wanted. Thanks for any input

| You could PM Tilly's Mom here at YT. She had her own mobile grooming service.

| We have tried two different mobile groomers and we weren't happy with either one. The first one did a really bad job and unfortunately she had already started before we were able to see in the van and it wasn't in great shape! The second company groomed for us 2 or 3 times and they did ok the first time, but it went downhill after that and it was pretty expensive. We tried it for the same reason, it was convenient and less stress for the dogs. We just started doing our three and we are NOT good at it at this point, there is a HUGE learning curve for us, but we bought all the supplies and we are hoping in time we will get better!

| I loved our Mobile grooming service. She charged the same as most grooming places but this was much more convenient. It only took about 1 hr and mydog smelled like baby powder for over a week! She charged $45. At this time I can't afford $45 per dog as now we have 3! Plus we kept a puppy that Lola just had over 2 weeks ago so yeah ...we have 4 dogs lol I'm pretty crafty and learned to do the grooming myself. I've seen many videos youtube. Plus I bought the supplies and remember " Hair always grows back! I find it easier if you plan to keep them in a longer coat.If you want the puppy cut then that is a bit more difficult to learn if u use scissors. I have never left my dog at a groomers for 3 hrs , I just couldnt do it... Genie |

I just found the magnet for one of the mobile groomers we tried and it was Active Paws. I don't recall though if they were the first one that we used only once that had a not very nice van or the 2nd one we used a couple of times. Either way, we weren't happy with either one. My Mom thought there was another company that services KY and the west side, she thought it was Happy Tails. She heard good things about them and their trucks were supposed to be new and nice. They wouldn't come to our area. Have you set something up yet?
