| Groomer to avoid in Omaha, NE This did not happen to Sophie. I found this warning on craigslist and thought I would share....poor Yorkie AVOID THIS GROOMER! Please read and see pictures!! (Omaha) Reply to: comm-726599164@craigslist.org Date: 2008-06-20, 12:38PM CDT I need to share this with you all. This happened to a friend's dog - not mine. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! This is not tolerable - Pucci's, in Countryside Village on Pacific, SHOULD NOT be grooming. These are pictures of abuse that was done to a 4lb yorkie named Izzy on Saturday, May 31st. The dog was taken to Pucci's to be groomed on a friend's recommendation and when Izzy got home she was acting really weird. They took her to the vet on Sunday because her neck was swollen and she wouldn't eat anything. The vet at first thought she had an allergic reaction to something because her gums were swollen. On Tuesday, her neck was crusted with puss and blood, so she went back to the vet who then shaved her and found these injuries under the skin. He said it looks as if someone had her in a VERY tight noose or muzzle. She must have been in that muzzle or noose for a very long time for this kind of damage to happen. Please forward these on to anyone you know in Omaha that has pets or is a pet lover and spread the word. I am just sick. The owner of Pucci's has offered to pay all the vet bills, but I want to make sure this groomer is no longer allowed to do this to another animal. The NE Humane Society has been contacted for a report of abuse. http://images.craigslist.org/0115020...743f005e74.jpghttp://images.craigslist.org/0101120...c074003b4f.jpghttp://images.craigslist.org/0101030...efe800f1bf.jpg

Location: Omaha
it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
PostingID: 726599164 Copyright © 2008 craigslist, inc. terms of use privacy policy feedback forum |

| It is so sad. The injuries just look so painful. This is exactly why I groom Sophie at home. I hope this information gets out so other locals don't subject their pets to this. |

| Poor baby. All the Groomer stories is making me very affraid of taking my baby to a groomer......... I guess I'll have to learn how to trim her. Poor pup, I wish someone would put a noose on the groomer that did this!

| Poor baby.... That breaks my heart. That is my biggest fear - leaving my baby in someone else's care and trusting them, and getting my baby back injured. I live in Omaha and I will spread the word to everyone I know with dogs as well. How very tragic. What a shame. I have brought Callie to be groomed once and I told them not to put her on the nuce because of her fragile trachea, and they listened to me, thankfully. Poor baby, that breaks my heart

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Someone emailed this to me where I work. I immediately forwarded it on to my sister because that was where she had been taking her maltese to be groomed. She never had any problems with them, but after receiving that email, she said she'll be switching to the groomer where I take my yorkie babies from now on.

| omg! i wouldnt stop there. i would contact a lawyer with pics in hand and want to sue for damages and abuse. i would make sure that person NEVER touched another dog again. I would call the ASPCA, and the BBB to report the groomer, and the person who employed them. that is totally unacceptable. EVER.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Hmmmmmmmm.......interesting...... I got a call from my sister the other day. She had been a client of Pucci's since getting her maltese a year or so ago (until I sent her the email link mentioned by the OP). She told me that she had gotten a letter from Pucci's stating that they were closing (big 20-80% off sale), reason being only that they had decided NOT to renew their lease. I kind of think that decision was made due to the bad publicity from this incident and loss of customers. Just to coincidental that is is happening so soon after this email became public. Don't ya think?
