| Trouble brushing tummy hair! I have finally gotten Baxter to understand that he is going to get brushed every night. (I had to buy an extra brush so he has one to chew and I have one to use). I still can't get him to let me brush his belly. I really need some suggestions on how to get him to "roll over" for this. Thanks. |

| I don't roll mine over, I just hold up their front paws in one hand and brush their belly with the other hand!! I do it when they are on top of the bed.

| hmm no advice from me, Koda doesn't have that problem. All you have to do is look at him and he will flop over on his back and say......"rub my belly PWEAAASSEE!!!" or brush it if thats what were doing! He's a dorky Yorkie |

YT 1000 Club Member | Oh...I wish my Kiki would roll over....she hardly ever lays on her back.....I brush her belly by having her on the bathroom counter, standing on her hind legs leaning her back on me while I hold her front legs with my left had and brush with my right hand!! She absolutely hates being brushed and bites at the brush the whole time....I brush her everyday and it is always the same ordeal :-(.... She has a very fine / thin coat, so it does not take long...thankfully! Funny thing though...she loves bath time and loves having her hair blow dried....

| Baxter only rolls over for my husband to scratch his belly. Never me! Biting at the brush is precisely why I bought him one to chew. |

| Mine LOVE the topcoat brushing... LOVE a belly rub... but HATE belly brushing!! I save myself the struggle - and them the arguement - - by keeping their bellies and underarms shaved down... only need to do it about once every 6 weeks or so to be completely tangle free underneath. (great for sanitary reasons as well, especially with the little man!) - and you could never tell they're "belly smooth" when their long coats hang down...

| I hold up Deiter's front paws and brush his belly and keep telling him good boy, then when all done I give him a treat and tell good belly brush. That seems to work for him. Now Cozmo he has very little hair on his belly Looks really funny but doesn't have but maybe 25 hairs and that is it. Good luck

| I can't get Samurai to hold still to let me brush him. He is a wiggle worm and tries to bit at the brush. He is going to the groomers tomorrow ( to get use to one ) hope he does better for her.

| I holdy Cody up by the front paws to belly brush and Kaysi just plops over on her back lol. They're so funny! I never thought to get a second brush for Cody to chew on. He's so cute thos cause when I brush his head, he is fine. He'll close his eyes and act so dreamy. The minute the brush goes past his neck he becomes devil dog!!!
