Question Peticure..What's the verdict???

So awhile back there was a post about the peticure nail grinder system. So many YTers had ordered them but they were backordered etc. I was wondering if those folks finally got them and if they like them. I would like to order one but was hoping for the YTer stamp of approval

I did finally receive mine. I read the material on it and have only heard
good things about it but I have not used it yet. Still too nervous.
I keep putting it off.

Default Peticure

I finally got mine, 3 months later LOL but I haven't used mine yet. I got 2 in the box. one petite and 1 regular. I only ordered 1 and there was no shipping invoice in the box and the bigger one was new but the box had been opened??? they still haven't charged my account yet ??? So I'm waiting to see what happens before I use them. I lloks like you can use it on small and big dogs because it's adjustable.

I saw someone do a demonstration on a small dog with the machine and while she did it she explained that if you are not careful, you can burn the doggie with the drill. I couldn't help but think back to getting a manicure when I had acrylic nails back in the day and remembered how it burned when they used that drill! So now I have too much fear that I would inflict pain on my pups getting used to working the drill properly....ouch!!!!

The instructions state: Not more than 3-5 seconds on each nail.
Go back if they are not short enough when all the other's are done.

I love ours. I do feel that I need to go back to some of the nails, but it is easy to use and so much less of a hassle than a standard dremmel. With the nail guide, you really don't need to worry about long paw hair cause it just doesn't get inside and caught. I can do Angel's nails by myself, but the hubby still needs to hold Sissy. But all in all, she is getting better with it.

As long as you don't grind for more than a few seconds, I really feel you can't hurt them with this.

And the petite size would work for both a 6 lb and 15 lb dog as there are several different sized guides for the nails.

While it took a loooong time to get it and I had to dispute the credit card charge because they billed it and then didn't ship for weeks afterward it finally did arrive and it works very well. I have used it on 2 of my dogs so far. They need to be gotten used to it slowly just as the website advises. As long as you follow instructions it works well and the adjustable holes are great for keeping hair away from the file.

I have one and I love it! Franklin still isn't quite accustomed to it but if someone else holds him and lets him lick a spoonful of peanut butter, he doesn't mind too much.

But in all seriousness- it's easy to use and does everything it says. The hair doesn't get caught it in and it does catch all of the dust. So far, no problems with the battery either.

I ordered one last week. It sounds like I prob won't get it for a few weeks... We'll see though. Hoping for the best! Callie hated it when I trimmed her nails with clippers and I vow never to do that again.

Can I ask where U all get this??? I need something for my Yorkies as I tend to clip Sofie and make her bleed almost every single time I cut her nails... Don't ask me how I do it but I do and I'm getting tired of hurting her...I do hurt our other Yorkies don't make sense to me.

Can U all post the link to it??? Please Hugs, Lee

I have a dremel and I've never used it on them as they all are growing coats long and this does scare me..I would croke if I got their coat caught in it, I know it would hurt them. Lee
