"Right now they are offering $15 off your total of at least $100. And there is free shipping over $50. So for those looking for a full size grooming table this is your chance...i only wish i had waited to purchase my grooming table from them....but i am going to see what else i can buy from them...hehe...just wanted to share this deal with everyone on YT..."

This was a quote from someone that posted a thread on Walmart about a sale they were having.....so I thought that maybe Rex's mom would be interested. It was from a YT member with a lot of xxxxx's in her login name but I can't remember it right now.

Poor baby. I would never take mine to a groomer after that. Slade HATES haircuts but our groomer always seems to do a great job with him.

Poor baby. I am glad he is doing ok. I have always used groomers for my dogs when I only had one but with 4 I do them myself. Cali is the only one who occassionaly goes to a groomer to get cleaned up. I just do the best I can and learn as I go along. It's only hair and will grow back so if I make a mistake it's only temporary. Just get good tools and a table. I am so sorry this happened to you and Rex.

However, this past Friday, the groomer called me and told me that she had cut Rex's neck and that he would need stitches. Of course I was frantic, drove to the groomer and took him immediately to the vet. He ended up getting 11 staples put in and will have to have them in for a little over 2 weeks. During this time, he cannot wear a harness, so he'll have to stay at home since we have a fenced in back yard. He usually goes with me to work during the week. But he always has on his harness and is on a leash when I take him out at work.
She did pay for the vet visit, but he hasn't really been himself (he's getting better), and the injury is putting a burden on me. (Instead of just being able to take him with me when I leave, I have to be sure not to leave him at home too long. We live about 25 miles from where I work. And-- giving him his antibiotics is a fight!)
He'll never go to another groomer again.... Should I just let it go at this point??? What would you all do?
I attached a picture of his neck.
holy cr*p ! That poor little guy - what the heck did they do to cut him that badly ??: I hope she paid for ALL his medical bills....

good luck - that's very VERY bad and the groomer should feel just terrible...man - I've been thinking of getting Chanel cut really short for the summer and my just have to try it myself...

I hope he feels better soon......

I would be very upset also, but like others said, accidents happen. Im glad that Rex is going to be fine though! My groomer used clippers on my boys and about 2 days later I noticed one of my boys had an infection I took him to the vet and he got on antibiotics, the vet said it was clipper burn and he had to wear an e-collar for 10 days... it was pretty bad. I called the groomer to tell them and they apologized but did not offer to reimburse me or even pay the vet bill, nothing! $150!! I was kind of mad, but I know it was not on purpose and they do a good job grooming them. I had to let it go at that, accidents happen. Im so glad Rex will be ok though and you have one BEAUTIFUL boy there! Hes gorgeous!

Oh my gosh, that's horrible. Poor baby and poor you. I would be mad also. I know for sure he wouldn't ever be going back there. I feel bad for him, he's probably going to be scared to death the next time he goes to a groomer as well as you will be also.

Hugs to Rex & you.

Oh my heavens what a gash in poor Rex. I can't imagine what the heck
she was doing to make that happen. I am sure she felt terrible about
it. At least I would hope so.
I am glad he's on the mend. Believe me, he won't forget about it
either. He probably will never go back even if you wanted him too.
I am glad you'll be grooming him yourself from here on in.
It's not that hard. Little at a time and you'll do fine.
Lot's of us have started ourselves so you will get all the help you
need. Plus there are several DVD's out to help also.

Hugs to Rex

I missed this until today and tried to read it all but never saw what the groomer was using on him. I have a mobile groomer and will be watching her in her window next week. This is awful.
