| 1st time plucker!!! Sandy, thanks to you and the link you provided in proper cleansing & plucking, I successfully plucked today for the first time... How ignorant was I to think it would hurt them... Mind you Nygee is 6.9 yrs old, Gizmo is 3.8, and Gypsy is 2... Well both Nygee and Gizmo have been to a professional groomer before, but they both had bad experiences... Nygee, the last & final time to the groomers, had the hair close to the tip of her eye cut off, she developed an extreme infection... And Gizmo, they chopped off all his beautiful hair from above his eyes... At this point, I decided to groom them myself...The ear powder is essential for proper plucking, now I feel like a pro!! | By plucking you mean the hair in their ears? How do you do that? I know that a lot of groomers say you don't have to pluck the ear hair in Yorkies but I don't know, I get so worried about ear infections.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | So glad that it was easy for you! I hope that Caren (one of our fellow YT members) sees this as she has been a little nervous about plucking too. It really IS a breeze!

| I was really scared too until my vet showed me how to do it. Now poor Tessa has her ears plucked all the time much to her dismay! The ear powder is definitely a must though, it makes it so much easier to pluck the hair. Now if I could just get my hubby to stay still long enough..........jk
