| ear irritation Tricksie was groomed 2 weeks ago and she pulled the hair out of her ears, she keeps shaking her head as if they are irritating. I looked at them but see nothing. What could it be?

| It's probably the hair growing back.

| Did they get water in her ears? Punkin has chronic yeast infections in her ears due to moisture. She is floppy eared. When it starts flaring up she starts shaking her head. You can't see anything by just looking in the ear as it starts deeper down in. As it worsens you can see if by just looking. If you know how to clean her ears with cotton you might see something on the cotton. If you haven't cleaned her ears before I would get someone qualified to show you how. HTH |

| With mites and infections you would probably be pulling out black or brown. It could just be irritation from the hair being pulled out but itchy ears aren't fun. Did you use a cleaner to try and break up anything that could be in there so you would see it on the cotton?

| Well, that should've worked. I would guess they are just irritated. I don't think the vet would do much of anything if she isn't scratching. I would take her if the shaking gets excessive though. Some people think this can cause a hematoma.
