| dew claws ok so i guess in Tx they cant get the dew claws removed anymore? at least thats what I was told... should I get Gracies removed? dose it really matter? what do you guys think? thanks in advance

| i think you should leave her dew claws alone, just get them trimmed like every other nail she has... declawing is very painful for them, its like chopping off your own finger thats how much it hurts.. please dont do it.

| I would leave it alone after they are 5 days old. After that it requires surgery and I'm sure that is very painful. Ellie has her dew claws but I would hope any other Yorkie I get doesn't. They are hard to trim and dew claws sometimes get attached to things and pull which would really hurt.

| One of mine has her dew claws and I hate them. They are difficult to clip and seem to grow so fast. I have considered having them removed if she ever needs surgery for anything else. I haven't decided for sure yet. |
