| Facial Hair ? My Rocco drinks a lot of water which means he gets his beard all in the water bowl and it is constantly wet. Because it is wet all the time he dribbles water all over my hardwood floors which is not a huge deal but the most irritating thing about the wetness is it starts to stink after a day or so. I clean his face every night which helps but doesn't solve the problem. Is there a complete solution to this? Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

| I think we all do. I have deceided to take Buddy's off and I did last week. I groomed his face shorter on the sides but is still hangs down a tiny bit lower than his jaw bone and completey shaved under his chin so there was no hair hanging. It is now even with his lower lip. He looks adorable. He sports a modified schnauzer cut. I love it. Not being a show dog who needs all that hair in the way. IMO. |

| I keep the facial hair short too. It seems to solve the problem. Baxter puts his whole face in his water bowl, and he was dripping water all over the wood floors too. So now I trim the hair around the face and beard, and it's much better. Although I still keep a small towel handy to wipe his face when he drinks. He walks over to me now and looks up at me as if to say, "Mommy, wipe my face"!

| You need to get a water bottle. Search water bottles on here because someone posted a link to one that stood upright once. I wish I would have saved the link

| Roxy does that too... My solution is I just wash it every night with moist scented doggy towelettes, and give it a good scrubbin' lol, then i brush it out after she dries... I keep Roxy's "mustache" brushed CONSTANTLY! Which I think keeps it from stinking as much. I never really have any problems with her muzzle stinking... Now her breath... Thats a WHOLE different story! lol.

| Thanks everyone. I was thinking of trimming the facial hair too but wasn't really sure if it would look okay. However, I guess anything would be better than wet, greasy, stinky facial hair, huh?
