| Curly wavy hair I have never shave Mem's hair before so i have no clue what is causing her hair to turn wavy. Initially, the hair near the butt started to turn wavy...then it spread to the middle. And now, the wavy hair is turning curly... Anyone know what is the cause of it? Any shampoo or treatment that I can use on her? Will MinkSheen help to make her hair better?? Please help... Thanks |

| lol.. nothing "causes" it.. some yorkies have a cottony coat (thick with curls) and some have a silky coat (fine and straight) it's just the way it is and there ins't much that can be done. layla has curls and i love them! i think she looks so cute! |

| Sammy's hair on her back and butt is curly. I use normal dog shampoo, but I comb the conditioner through and then I use some of my own straightening cream on the curly part. Then I blow dry it REALLY well and that helps straighten it out a bit. At least until we get a rainy day.

But she wasn't like that before. Her hair were rather straight..so that maybe something has caused her hair to turn wavy | |

| she isn't very old right? (guessing from your avatar picture) if she si still a puppy this is normal.. all pups seem to have generally the same type of puppy hair.. they blow that coat and get their adult coat.. you won't know fully what her coat will look like (for example Layla never got silver and gold.. she is still black and tan like a puppy and she will be 2 in march) until she is 2 years old. |

| I'm not sure if I understand correctly, did you cut it shorter and notice it got curlier? I know with my hair, when it is shorter it is wavier. My little guy has a silky coat, but I keep it in a puppy cut, and it is wavy. I like it because since I cut it myself, the waves make it blend together. After a bath, he dries naturally, but I think if I blow dried his hair with a brush it would be pretty straight. Here's a pic... he's also curlier around the butt.

| My guess is the longer the hair the less you may have noticed the waves, since the hair is heavier and weighs the curls out. Punkin has a wavy coat and curlier on the butt. |
