| Is This Silky or Cotton? I can't make my mind up about Gypsy's coat. Before her puppy cut I thought she had a cotton coat because it was coarse and matted easily but then someone suggested that it was her puppy coat that was like that. So I've had her puppy coat cut out today and now it's all gone. My groomer said that she had a "silky" coat rather than a "thick" coat and I meant to ask her what her definition of a "thick" coat was but for some reason I forgot too! (Blaming that on pregnancy brain fog too! ) Hopefully someone on here will be able to tell me what kind of coat she has... The first picture is a puppy one at 11wks and then 15wks, then last week at 13months and then finally today after her first groomers visit when all the puppy coat was taken out... Can someone also show me a photo of the kind of coat she has on their dog with a full coat please?

| coat It is not cotton or true silkIMO..it tends to run a bit coarse IMO. It will not mat as an adult unless she is ignored, which is impossible as she looks very loved...best wishes |

Is a silky coat the better texture to have? Is that the kind all these lovely Yorkie's have on here with the long flowing coats?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Looks pretty silky now. I had Cali who is 2 1/2 groomed by an exshow breeder and she got rid of a lot of her thick hair, I can't believe how silky she looks now. ALmost as silky as Pixie whp has a true silky coat. I hav e her on supplements so I'm not sure which caused the dramatic change in her coat. Isn't is nice to have them easier to groom? Gypsy is a cutie., how old is she now?

| Awww, she looks adorable. You've already gotten several great opinions, and I don't have much to add. Just enjoying her pics. It's so hard to tell from the pics. You'll know though. If it's silky it won't be matting on you and won't need combed out as much.

| How long do they keep their puppy coat? Because C J being only 8 months hair is thick and looks wavy when he is wet. I did notice that when he was younger his eyes had a blue tint (taking a picture) but now his are showing a green shade. And I also have to brushand comb his hair a lot to keep the tangles out. C J is in my atvar right now. I still havent got the hang to change their pictures or add more then one at a time. hehe
