| GRR I want long hair like my mommy! hey everyone my little girl is 6 mnths..had her since she was 3 mnths and she has only gotten 1 puppy cut (probably around 4 mnths) i want to grow her out to medium length its pretty long now ..question is anything i can do to maintain a healthy coat oils/any reccommended foods(shes on eukanuba puppy small breed dry) how many times of brushing..and most importantly what do i say to the groomer when i just want her cleaned up and nails cut and painted..do i let them know im growing her hair out and just want a little trim? sorry im a first time yorkie/dog owner

| eekks shes been eating eukanuba puppy for small breed food since she was born i didnt switch yet but i guess i will be now do you know why thats a bad food and how do i go about knowing what will be good for her

| wow thanks so much i feel so horrible now..i always grew up thinking eukanuba was top shelf hahaha then again i never did own a dog till now ...i will be switching rigth away

| You shouldn't feel bad. I used to feed my shih-tzu that all the time before finding out about it. A lady from a pet food store told me about it. Ever since then I made sure I did research before buying. Everyone learns what is good and bad for their babies later on. That's what makes us good parents. Eukanuba is a big company that can afford advertising. They even get some vets to market their products! At least you are willing to switch for the sake of your baby.

| yes crazy part is even my vet knew the food she was on and its aggravating they dont let you know! I going to switch her tommorow to the royal canin yorkieshire 28 formula but she will be 7 mnths on the 24th of this mnth...does she still need a puppy formula?

| when is she not considered a pup anymore at 1 yr? to make the actual switch to the yorkie 28 formula...thnx for all ur help btw

| You're right... they do recommend at 10 months. My Bella just turned 10 months and the other two are about 2 years old, so I switched to RC recently.

| yes i just bought the RC puppy 33 for her last nite and she loves it thank god i found out about all these prob w/ certain foods..how can they produce foods like that if they arent benificial ? I will be doing the switch as it says ont he bag of food at 10 mnth thnx all!

| I also add a product called Show Stopper to my dogs food. This has all of the essential fatty oils, DHA and lots of other good vitamins that help all around. I have noticed that his coat has started growing a lot faster since I introduced this product. Good luck! |
