| Reputable Yorkie businesses! I thought it would be a good idea to start a 'local' thread to share info on breeders, groomers, stores, kennels, etc, so we can suggest ones that we've dealt with and liked, and sound words of caution about ones we had bad experiences with! I'm actually trying to find a good boarding kennel for Spike to stay at for four nights in March. I've found the Tuscany kennels in Sherwood Park - has anyone had any experience with them?!?! |

| Excellent idea for a thread. I love YT but sometimes it just seems everything is so far away. Especially when looking at the For Sale threads! I can't help with the kennel in Sherwood Park. I would like to mention a breeder though. They are Little Foot breeders here in Cold Lake and have adorable pups. Their pups are raised in their house and come prespoiled! I would love to hear about groomers in my area. Anyone know of a good groomer in Cold Lake?

| My breeder in Victoria, BC (North Saanich to be precise) is great! Her name is Julie Davis and her kennel is Davishire Yorkshire Terriers. I get to pick up my lil' girl tomorrow, so excited! D-

| Does Julie have a website? I live in Vancouver right now, but grew up in Saanichton and Victoria. I thought I had looked at all local breeders, but have missed Julie somehow. You must be so excited, have you picked out a name yet? |

| I got my yorkie from Buttehill Kennels in Paradise Hill close to Alberta/Saskatchewan border. He is 2 years old now and he is a great little yorkie. I am so pleased with him and he was reasonably priced. I would recommend this breeder. |

My friend takes her maltese to cross cuts just outside of town there, and she LOVES it, but I've heard some horror stories about lion cuts and shaving from other yorkie owners as well. As much as I hate to say it, you just have to go for trial and error around here. I usually just groom my little girl myself | |
