Max is from Puppy Boutique. Thank God, he is healthy. I still worry though because I have no idea of his genetic health.

They do buy dogs from puppy mills. Someone here posted a way to look up breeders. I'm sorry - I don't remember where or who. Max's breeder had about 63 adult and 23 puppies in 1999.

Everyone I meet who has bought a Yorkie from them is told that the dog will be 4 pounds fully grown. Not one of them is - Max is a healthy 8 pounds.

I know someone who used to work there. She says they're certainly not the worst, and that most of their dogs are actually healthy.

I wouldn't buy a dog from any pet store after learning so much on YT. I want a dog that's bred at home, loved, cared for, and I want to be sure that the genetic lines are healthy.

I bought my puppy there a few months ago...Thank God she is fine and the vet gave her great reviews, she is healthy and lovable...Maybe because we do take good care of her at home and right away we got her checked.

I was talking to the guy who owns my favorite pet supply shop. He said they used to be good, but not anymore. You can watch the puppies being unloaded from a truck every morning. They are puppy mill dogs, he said.

It's a shame, but at lesat most of ours from there are healthy. I wouldn't mate them though.

Oh my god,this puppy in the pic is supposed to be a Yorkie

he is so small that he hardly looks like a Yorkie any more, and they are charging 8,000 dollars for him

and he will probably have some health problems.

Any store that sells puppies is likely to be selling puppies from puppymills, expecially if they sell so many breeds

My gf and I got Rusty from Puppy Boutique about 4 months ago. He's been pretty healthy so far and has stayed true to the size and color we were promised. However, now that we've learned about puppy mils we wouldn't return there.

By the way his registration says that his parents are Sam and Nanny - in case he has any siblings out there.

I must say before i had any knolledge of Yorkie Talk i didnt know about puppy mills or anything like that. My BF and I purchased Rocky from Puppy Boutique as well. Thank goodness he turned out fine i did stay with the vet they reccomened for almost a year but then i changed. Due to the fact that they are not personal they seem to just do their job and that's all. When we got Rocky we were told he was going to be 7-8lbs the most and he's almost 9lbs now at 1yr and 4months.

Thank goodness he dosent have anything wrong with him and if i would of known then what i know now i wouldnt have gotten him from that pet shop. Although to think if i wouldnt of gotten him who knows how long he would of stood in that place or if he would of gone to a home where he dosent get the attention and love i give him.

Is that true? I got my Seth from them. He's healthy..but he's reather large for a yorkie. They told me he would be a toy but he's pushing 10 lbs at 8 months! I just now called them and asked for information on his breeder and they said they'd have her contact me and can't give me her personal phone number! OMG!

I have a website where you can look your breeder up. It's from someone on YT. I have to find it, and then I'll post it. When I looked up Max's breeder, I found that she's running a puppy mill.

But, most of us Puppy Boutique buyers got healthy dogs as far as I know. They have told everyone I ever knew, except you, that their dog would weight 4 lbs. full grown. Max is somewhere between 8-10 lbs. He's the most wonderful dog, very handsome and I love him with all my heart. I'm just glad that he's healthy. He cost $750 last June and isn't AKC. None of their dogs are.

I would NEVER buy another dog from them because to do so would be supporting puppy mills. I would also never breed one of their dogs because you have no idea of their genetics.

Enjoy your Teapot and just be3 grateful that he's healthy. I'll look for that website.

Don't feel dumb and ripped off. That's the people that the puppy mills and the pet stores count on. Feel how lucky you are to have Vicki, but vow to never make the mistake of supporting puppy mills again. And also vow to educate all your friends. Some day.. in the hopefully near future..... everyone will know and understand, and we will put puppy mills out of business. I called the Puppy Boutiqe and asked them for my dog's breeders contacts.They told me that they couldnt give it to me. So i looked her up in the white pages and found her. Anyone bought a puppy from Puppy Boutique A.K.A. Puppy Petite A.K.A. NYC Puppy (lolol soo many names) and there dog's breeder's name was Joyce & Galen Gamel? Wel lit turns out that she doesnt even know who the hell they are! Her dogs arent even registered with DRA(which they told me she was) they're all registered with APR..I even looked her up and turns out she wasnt lying. She told me that Cashew & Guss arent his parent's and she doesnt even remember delivering puppies on 12-18-06, she has no clue as to who his parent are. She mailed me a copy of their papers and everything checks out. PUPPY BOUTIQUE ARE LIARS! THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY GET THEIR DOGS FROM AND I'M SUING! It turns out that Guss is 4 lbs, Cashew is 6..but my Seth(their alleged son) is 10 LBS!!!!!! She said their was no way in hell he belonged to them. She's a hobby breeder and doesnt do or would ever do business with Pet Shop! Turns out she doesnt even like Pet Stores. She laughed so hard when I told them how they pretended to know her. We're planing on filing a case against them for fraud and name slandering. They gave her bad business! I hated her myself, and she is such a nice women. Her husband said he doesnt think that my dog is pure and he said I shouldnt have bought him for that much money(828.50). he say's that they don't know of this place(PB). She has no clue as to what DRA is! DRA doesnt even know who she is!! They have no records of her or her husband! However APR(who she told me she was registered with) does! Puppy Boutiqe are liars, theives, and disgusting people. I don't however blame the emplyees...I blame the Owner and their on staff VET! I would never ever ever ever ever trust anything they say again. To all people who think they got their dog's from bad breeders(only applies to Puppy Boutique customers) you didnt get your dogs from them. Puppy Boutique is stealing names and ruining lives. These are innocent breeders and they don't deserved to be bashed. WAIT TILL THEY GET A PIECE OF ME AND MY LAWYERS MIND! UGHH! They disgust me!

P.S. She only breeds yorkies and maltese and they're all pedigree...she doesnt sell her dogs for nearly as much as I bought mine for! It also turns out that everyone who claims to have gotten a dog from her bought their dog from......you guessed it! Puppy Boutique! Crazy right?!?

I can't believe what you're telling us! First thing I would do would be to go to another vet (I think you said you already are) and make sure he's 100% yorkie. I'm sure he is, but, if not, you can certainly add that to your case.

They've been around for years and have just succumbed to greed. How disgusting! They were just in the news. Google them to find the story. They were sued by somebody who won, and they never paid them. You're probably going to get them closed down. Good for you!

As far as his size, there's nothing they can be held liable for. No breeder ca guarantee size. Love him for being a teapot and forget about it.

I do love my Seth, it's just that they ripped me off! I could have got him from up the street for 250! I payed almost a thousand dollars for a mutt.

BTW: I'm on the phone with them right now!!!!!
