| Groomers/Obedience schools? Hello! I'm in the Summit/Elizabeth area and looking for a good groomer and an obedience school. I just got my puppy, she's about 5 months old, and needs to be trained. Right now I want just basic things mostly, like COME, NO, STOP, etc. I have been doing the treat thing with some commands, but this is my first puppy, so I want to make sure I am doing it right as well. As far as the groomer goes, where are some great places and how often should I bring her? I was told by one website to wash her every week, and cut the fur around her anus (for cleanliness) and trim around her ears and eyes. I am fine with the washing, but the rest I think I would feel more comfortable with a groomer doing. Sorry if I sound nuts, I just want to make sure I can do all I can for her. Thanks for all your help!! |
