| Thank you to Animal Emergency Hospital in NJ I just wanted to use this space to thank the animal emergency hospital on Bloomfield Ave, NJ. I have brought my old pup numerous times here, and no matter how late (sometimes 3:00am) it was, all staffs and doctors were always helpful and took time to consult the situation etc. And it is a wonderful thing to know that there is an emergency place that is open 24 hours when something happens to my pup. Thank you very much! |

| kalina82 you work there? My puppies have been there several times! Recently, like two weeks ago Abbie had to stay two nights for pancreatitis. Abbie also had her Perthes surgery there, Dr Hunte did the surgery. We are so grateful that you are there in case of an emergency now if we could only do something about the cost

| Well....I'll join the group! Dr. Hunt just did Phoebi's surgery on January 2 and Chan's was done last April and June. I have found everyone there to be compassionate and extremely friendly. It's a tough place to be with a sick pet and it's nice having a ton of friendly people to help you. |

Bite your tongue though....I hope no more x-rays! It's an 8 week check up for a patella surgery. Oh.....this is our 3rd knee since last April and every final check up I bake for the girls. Any requests? Chan's 1st knee they all got chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies, Chan's 2nd knee they all got a cinnamon coffee cake bread and I'm at a loss as to what to bake this time....

3rd lp surgery but not the same dog.....Chandler, my maltese, had his first knee done last April and then the second knee done in June. Both were trauma induced...simple little injuries that took a Grade 2 knee to a Grade 4 in a split second. Then this December 15, I was out walking when Phoebi, my yorkie, was attacked by a neighbor's unleashed pitbull. She is lucky to be alive but during the attack she actually splayed her back legs and her Grade 2 knee became a 4 also. At first my Vet treated her with Rimadyl and rest...we weren't really sure where her pain was. She had some puncture marks and as the week passed it almost looked like her back was bothering her. She wasn't limping at all. Then Christmas Eve she was totally lame on her right back leg and I got her into my Vet on the day after Christmas. He broke the news to me, at which point I vomited in his office....when he said call Dr. Hunt. As you know, you guys were on vacation until January 2. Since he did such a wonderful job with Chan, we waited for him to return. Phoebi's surgery was that Tuesday. I've been sick over this whole thing with her. She is not happy with the ex-pen and 8 weeks is a LONG time! I can't even begin to mention the money we have spent! OMG....with this knee we're at $10,000!
