| Any yorkie owners near Burlington New Jersey? Hi all, As I posted already we move from Scotland to Burlington New Jersey end of December and I cant wait. I am needing some reccomendations for... 1) Good Grooming places for my 2 I like them cut quite short, and I like somewhere I can stay with them as they get strssed enough at the groomer without me leaving them alsone to!!! 2) A good vets practice to register my dogs at. 3) Any good places to walk my pups, they both like to walk in woods, beaches, fields and like to be off the lead. 4) Any good dog sitters or someone who wants to has a yorkie that wants to watch my 2 when I need it and I can watch thier babies if they need it. Any help much appreciated! Ruth x

| Hey there! I'm originally from Washington Township, NJ which is not too far from Burlington. I live in PA now though so I'm afraid I don't personally know of any recommendations. I did do a google search and found a mobile pet groomer in that area: http://www.stylishpetmobilepetgrooming.com/ I've taken my mom's cats to the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees, NJ for their spays and they were great. I'm sure if you gave them a call (856-424-2288) they could hook you up with a good vet. Good luck with your move and PM me if you have any other questions about the area (dog related or otherwise)!! Sarah

| i live in pennsauken. just south of burlington down route 130. there is a new petsmart on route 130 in delran. they have a banfield pet hospital and a grooming salon. i haven't tried them yet. we go for walks along the burlington waterfront all the time. it's nice to stroll in the historic district and watch the sail boats. we like to go to amaco island off river road in riverside. it's a county park with well kept trails. for beaches we go to the jersey shore. higbees beach in cape may is dog friendly. my mom has a place at diamond beach in wildwood crest which is also dog friendly. there are also many dog parks in the area. feel free to pm me when you arrive in the states. we can arrange a playdate.

| Im in Pine Hill, NJ a little ways south of burlington. I used to groom for a show breeder in Delanco, which is close to burlington but there is no grooming there anymore. There is a vet on Rt 130 near a petco but I forget the name of it, my breeder friend takes her dogs there. I groom one of their retired vet's dog. I groom in Cherry Hill but its a little way down from burlington so that does you no good. I think there is a grooming shop on 130 in burlington that opened a few months ago but I know nothing about them

| Good luck with the move. I often visit Nj to see my best friend .I hope you and your little ones have a good trip as it's quite a flight. I usually fly out from Glasgow with continental. Will you be able to have your little ones on board with you?

| Yeah we are really lucky we are flying United out of Heathrow London and pups get to ride in the cabin with us. They have bags regulation airline size and I have been putting them in them to get used to them. I pop them in for an hour at a time (started with just in bag zipped then out and built it up in 5 min intervals) then take them out and play and cuddle for ages so they get to associate bags with fun. They are very good in them my little girl lily just goes to sleep straight away my boy jake who is more wary and nervous used to dig and whine but has stopped now and will just lie down and look at me the whole time like I just stole his favorite bone!!! I am nervous to take them I am worried they will stress and be really unhappy on the plane but its got to be done I wouldnt leave them behind no way id leave my husband first lol!!! Ruthx

| When are you moving? That is a LONG plane ride!!! I actually live in Hainesport which is 10-15 minutes from Burlington. Diamond gets groomed by Chrissy (she posted aboe), I LOVE her! The name of the grooming place is called Posh Pets and it is in Cherry Hill...like Chrissy said, it would probably take you a little bit to get there---probably about 30 minutes. It takes me about 20 minutes or more but I don't mind...once you find the perfect groomer, you stick with them!!! I take Diamond to the Creek's Edge Animal Hospital on Route 38 in Hainesport, NJ. The people there are so helpful and nice and they always are understanding. The best part is that it's no more than 5 minutes from my house. It would probably take you 15-20 minutes depending on where you are in Burlington. Good Luck with everything and let me know if you need anything. Diamond & I are are also available for playdates We met Romeo's Mom once back when it was warmer out, had a lot of fun!!!

I will also check out the vets you reccomended. As for a play date ABSOLUTELY I would love to meet up, I will send you a message once we arrive and hopefully we can catch a warmer dry day to meet up. I am also going to check out the nearest petsmart I hear they do dog training classes I love doing that with my boy Jake. Ruthx

| Chrissy grooms my dogs too. She's wonderful with them. I drive about 20 to 25 minutes to Posh Pets, but it's worth my time for them to be groomed properly and treated well. There's a nice shopping district in Haddonfield right down the street so I mostly hang out there until they're all done which is usually a couple of hours.
