| Young Yorkie Wanted for Adoption. Long but sincere.. Please read !!! Hey. my name is David . Im 17 going on to 18 and currently live with a family of 5 ( including myself) in Queens , New York. So I just joined this site today, and less than an hour later im asking complete and total strangers for something.. Seem a little strange? Well keep reading..So as I mentioned above I just joined this website, and I am requesting young male or female yorkies. I am requesting them because I have a love......no...I have an intense love.... no I have a dire need , want and desire to aquire a yorkie. My love for yorkies began some 10 years ago, when I had on of my (many ) pets in particular dogs. I had a german shephard puppy that my parents adopted from a family ( Friends to us ) and later on a golden retriever pup. I loved becky ( my german shephbard with all my heart. I walked with her, tried to talked with her, and played with her everyday from school. Soon she began to grow very tall and strong, more so than me at the time, and plus my mom got pregnant with my little sister. Because of ignorance ( on training dogs , housebreaking them and assuming the leader of the pact position with a calm assertive energy) thedog ended up ruling the house and causing problems. She began very demanding for walks or food, and extremely controlling of toys , bones, and pillows, ect.. Within 5 years of having her since she was a pup she had to go. **it should be noted here that the family from which we adopted becky ( the german shephard ) had westies, maltises, and yorkies from which the yorkies were my favorite by far. However i did not know the name up until i saw it in a pet store aboout a year ago...Anyways to continue, becky left to be adopted by a shelter somewhere in brooklyn, NY by my dad. Saddest day of my life.. After a year of intense lonliness and emptiness I convinced my parents to get me another dog. So Rex ( our golden retriever ) became the newest edition to the family. However, the same mistakes made with becky were made with Rex. Rex was a calm and quiet dog, but we didnt enforce the same training that he was taughted earlier. So he had to go also. Up until them , Ive beed lonley.. waiting for a companion that wouldnt be too much work ( just for my parents sake even though ive taked sole responsibility of caring for my other dogs in the past ) and a life-long friend. haIve went to many places to find him/her but have never had that connection. There were about 3 places that had yorkies within the past year, but i was either too late to the punch or they were too expensive for me at the time ~$699..I did and still do lots of searching about these dog breeds, training, care, products, vet care, costs, and I am convinvced that these are the dogs for me. My mom has an account with a vet somewhere in Alpine, New Jersey, where some of the best care is administered to pets. This is where I get sources of expertise, advice , and soon to be care for the pup if granted to opportunity to take care of one. So here I am now. Asking for an opportunity to love, take care of, and cherish a pup of my very own tll death do us part. I have spoken to my family and we all agree on taking care of this pet to the greatest possible degree. As if it were our brother sister, son or Daughter. I also understand that the legal work will have to be taken care of by them. I have no problem with that at all. I just need a chance to love and care for these animals because all over the city, nation and world these animals are being killed, neglected or both . It breaks my heart to read about this in blogs or internet sources but that's just reality. However the sooner we all step up as dog lovers and care providers the more we can inspire others to follow up in our footsteps and provide for a safer tommorow for our dogs. If there's anybody or shelter out there in New york or possibly NJ that has a yorkie pup that they just cant manage, or a pup that needs a happy, loving and caring home please PM me. Remember, all it takes is one to make a difference. |

Good Luck in your search and keep researching and studying. As you say you are still reasearching and the time will be right. Yorkies are an expensive breed; not only the initial cost but vet fees and grooming costs. You live in one of the boroughs of NY and those fees are expensive. Good Luck

| I bet there is a rescue that could find one for you and your family. Keep looking on here and on the many Yorkie Rescue sites. In the mean time, learn all you can about Yorkie care. Yorkie Talk members, online sites and books can help you with that. Good Luck with your search. Keep us posted

YorkieTalk Newbie! | I hope you find a good yorkie to have as a companion. Around where I live they are $300 or $400 dollars. The breeders in our area sell online. If i knew the website I would tell you. Good luck
