| American Puppy Club - Middletown NJ I purchased a puppy from there. I am out 2 grand basically - and can only get a credit for my puppy. I went there on a recommendation from a friend - she got two great puppies there. Mine had ringworm and we returned it. I feel very taken by this place after reading the reviews. I even tried contacting my local news only to find out that the place had changed names over the years to avoid bad press. The local news had already done an expose on this place. Just a warning. And if anyone feel like 'rescuing' a puppy from there, you are more than welcome to have my credit. I wont ever use it - my family has been through enough right now. I am contacting a lawyer and the ASPCA to see what type of recourse I have. I truly thought I was doing the right thing be going through what I thought was a reputable place (because of my friend and her two pups). I was willing to pay a lot to ensure a healthy puppy. I was so wrong. And I am so mad at myself for supporting a place like this. I dont know how these people live with themselves. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I realize that you wanted this thread deleted, but I had to post when I saw it. 4 years ago, I got a yorkshire puppy, Bandit, from this place, except then they were called American Breeders Inc. or something of that nature. Bandit died of liver shunt, and despite the health gaurantee, we went through literal hell to get money back out of them. They blamed us, and said that instead of having him put to sleep (he was seizing and couldn't be brought out of it, in the middle of the night) we should have waited until they opened the next morning and brought him back, which is just ridiculous. They change their name everytime a new complaint is brought up against them, which is why they have such a good "reputation." These people are HORRIBLE people who do NOT stand by their dogs and lie to your face. and, of course, as we learned the hard way, their dogs are from puppy mills. Don't blame yourself, everyone makes mistakes. We did end up getting some money back, but this was only after Rush Holt yelled at them and their very own vet turned his back on them to support us. I wish more than anything that that place would go out of business TODAY.
