| Is it too cold out to walk? So we live in NJ/NYC area and was wondering how cold is too cold to walk Duke? It was in the 50s today and I felt that it was a bit cold to walk him, I put a sweater on him but when is it too cold? Thanks,

| I think they would be plenty safe to take a walk in 50 degree weather. When it starts to get real cold you should definitely have their coat on and might even want to try some sort of booties so their paws arent as cold.

| I'm in Southern Maryland(WAshington DC area). So it's about the same as it is up there. We dread this time of year, for walks anyway. I just make sure they have coats on and unfortunately, the walks are more and more shorter as winter approaches. I hate to see them shiver too long. We usually take 30 min walks & play in open fields about 3 to 4 times a day...that will be drastically cut down...and the playing part of it will be indoors. If you dont' take them out as long, just make sure they get enough exercise with some indoor activities.

| get warm fleece hoodies from go fetch We live in south jersey/philly. We continue to walk. I feel that when they are used to walking it is bad for them emotionally to stop. Romeo gets over excited and into trouble if he does not get his daily walks. We just dress warmly. I highly recommend the go fetch fleece hoodies from Tiger's Mom. We could not survive winter without them. They are super warm and high quality. They also have a sturdy d ring so a harness is not needed. go.fetch™

| We would walk all the time, Pepper even loved the snow. I would make sure you have a coat or sweater that covers the tummy area, some coats don't. The booties never worked, couldn't keep them on! |

| Thanks for all your responses. I'll definitely keep walking him then, he loves his daily walk. He does have tons of clothes to keep him warm. We are now running into the problem that his sweaters covers his whole belly so when he pees outside, it stays in his sweater (yuck!) so i'm trying to alter it where the portion under his belly has room for him to pee.
