| Searching for a female pup in the tri state area! Hi Everyone, My name is Catherine and I'm new to the boards. My husband and I adopted a wonderful yorkie named spike when he was 10 and we fell in love with the breed. He lived to be almost 16 and died right before Christmas last year. He was our everything and we miss him dearly. I grew up in a breeding household and for the past several years we have been thinking about and planning to become breeders of yorkies on a small scale...in home and well loved...no kennels. He was most certainly an only child and an alpha so it wasn't something we could even consider until he had lived out his life. It has taken us a long time to be able to consider new pups again as he was most certainly not replaceable. We are purchasing a little boy this weekend after much research. I have not been able to find a little girl that will be available in the next two months, has not been closely line breed, and that hasn't come from a puppy mill of some sort. We are not into the term "teacup" and prefer toy sized @ adult size. The boy will be appx. 5lbs and we are looking for a girl appx. 2lbs bigger at 6-8lbs when she is full grown. If anyone knows of any loving breeders that do not keep their dogs in cages and that are well loved that might happen to have a female that matches what we are looking for, please PM me and let me know. Thanks so much, Catherine Buckman A Yorkie Tail |
