For those of you looking in or around New Jersey for your puppy. I've included a link to the NJCAPSA Site - Consumers Against Pet Shop Abuse. Kim Russo -Playhouse PuppiesandBulldogsUsa.com- Bergen County. Eastern European dog importer (Bulldogs) and broker of mulitple breeds. Also advertises on PuppyFind.com under The Perfect Pup and Northern NJ Labradors
Donna M. Roberts - Havanese broker/breeder, Shamong, Burlington County. Does business under the name Shady Oak Havanese. Roberts was recently CONVICTED under state cruelty statutes for selling sick puppies. Read more about her and the case on ourDealers & Brokerspage.
Brenda & Evan Moncreiff -Bulldog RavineRussian dog importers. Clickhereto go directly to the page on our website. They also have a new website calledHeavenly French Bulldogs.
William 'Bill' Roberts - multiple breeds; buys exclusively from PA puppy millers (Nathan Myer, David Zook, and others) and sells the puppies out of his car, charging a $15 'delivery fee'. Roberts has a female accomplice and operates out of Gloucester and other South Jersey counties. Uses the cell phone numbers 609-685-0208 and 856-207-1974, advertises in the Philadelphia Inquirer and many other local papers, describing the puppies as 'cute lil dustmops'. Roberts says he's been a breeder 'for over 20 years' but he is a broker of sickly puppies bred in Amish & Mennonite puppy mills. Consider yourself duly warned! Please call the NJ SPCA if you encounter this seller.

OMG I almost bought from the Havanese breeder, but she told me the puppy I was interested in was already sold, and then I found Teddy before she contacted me again. Thank goodness I dodged that bullet. Thanks for the info, there are soooo many bad breeders out there the thought of buying another puppy is terrifying.

WOW I have a havanese from that breeder. My dog is absolutely perfect and the place was very clean unlike the other breeder in SJ we saw. I saw all her dogs and puppies and I only wished I had a set up like hers. I certainly wouldn't believe everything I read. It only takes one person to blow things out of proportion. I have Maddie and I know 2 other people I sent to that breeder that have wonderful dogs from her. I would not think twice about recommending her to anyone. I think she does a wonderful job and loves her pets.
Unlike Top Knotch I was able to see parents and grandparents to our puppy.

With all do respects Luvin Yurks. I think it's safe to believe what you read. The site I posted has worked hard to shut down byb's and puppymills and expose brokers that are buying from puppymills. With all do respects you have 3 postings and in your first posting you responded to a person looking to breed their 2.3 lb. six month old female by asking "What are the blood lines?" Your second posting which I'll post below was about YOU BEING A BREEDER located in S. Jersey. And, now your third posting defending a breeder exposed on a site that shuts down mills, byb, etc. Makes ya wonder doesn't it.

So let me ask you, were you asking what the blood lines were of this 2.3 lb. six month old female that this woman was looking for a stud for because possibly you were going to provide her a stud? A stud for a 2.3 lb. female that is obviously too small to breed?

And, that's all I have to say on this subject.

I was asking about the dogs bloodline to see if it was out of my tiny male. I bred a lady's dog several months ago and thought maybe it was one of the offspring as she did not forward information to me on who she sold the puppies to. No I would NOT breed a dog that small NEVER. I have 3 TOP quality females and my little Champion male. Any female we choose to breed has MANY requirements to meet.
I also support the NO PUPPY MILL and am an active member of the SPCA in NJ!

Our havanese IS spayed and we do not breed her and never did. We chose this breed for my children's family pet as the yorkie's are MY babies. The Havanese we purchased has been a wonderful dog and I just find what I read hard to believe.(sorry for being a satisfied customer of this breeder)

Luvin Lurks. You may have very well been a satisfied customer but in your previous post you stated "It takes just one person to blow things out of proportion." Believe it. It took more then one person. They were CONVICTED. Do you know how hard it is to convict people that sell sick puppies or puppymiller, byb, etc. MUCH MORE THEN ONE PERSON.

Thank you I will read it over now that my kids are fast asleep. I just felt the breeder was very helpful and answered all my questions without hesitation. I just feel sad for her if this is not true. I even went to see her and her dogs at the Trenton kennel Club show about 2 years ago.

I don't want to argue either I am just in disbelief.
