| Traveling with my Yorkie Question Hi all!! Hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing Yorkie Day!!! I have a question one of which i will admit is my fault and I am going to do better and correct it!! Nathan loves to ride with me in the car only he wants to do it laying in my lap vs. being in his doggie bag.!!! I have allowed him to do this obviously more times than i should and he has a fit being in his doggie bag!!So...I went to Petsmart and found a barrel shaped doggie bag that has a oval opening that zips down and he will now lay in that as long as he can see out and see me he appears to be fine..but this to me is still not really safe!! How do you yorkie pros travel around town with your yorkie!?? Nathan is a little guy at 9months and 2 and a half lbs!!! and his mommy wants him to be safe!! Despite the fact this is all my fault!! lol

| I will also admit Murfee rides in my lap sometimes too. I got one of those bags like you are talking about with the zipper and he learned....on the first time out....how to get it unzipped Smart little booger. Mostly he rides in a bed on the console. He is not hooked in and I know it is dangerous but really don't know what else to do. |

| well Layla usually rides in her crate in the car... as soon as the door shuts she is fast asleep but what about trying a car seat for him?? you can get them at PetSmart.. that way he can still see you (as opposed to being in a bag) and he is safe God forbid you get in an accident. Something to think about |

| Both my boys have 'Lookout' car seats and they love them. Each has their own window seat in the back and they are strapped in. For safety's sake, I would recommend a doggie car restraint. There are several good ones out there to chose from.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I think you should try a carseat so he can see you and it is safe. London usually just falls asleep in her carrier but if she notices it is not moving, as if I am still she will start to whine so I put her on my lap too. |

| I have a carseat that Conner is strapped into. He does not mind because he can look out. Usually he gets tired from looking and falls asleep after about 10 minutes. Only keep them in the back seat. The front airbags are dangerous for them.
