Airline approval doesn't mean a thing~!All airlines have different dimensions of what can go under the seat. From my experience with Southwest of course their carriers fit, but if you fly Delta the Southwest carrier won't fit.

I also have a Sleepypod. Bon Bon has flown in it several times. I got the Sleepypod Air, because it can be folded to a smaller size and there is no standard for different airlines and even different airplanes. No matter what, it will fit under the seat in front of me. He has plenty of room. I can get him out quickly to go through security. It’s good for dogs up to 18 pounds.

After much research, I replaced our last car seat w/the Sleepypod. Most car seats say they’re certified but find out who’s “certifiying” them. Sleepypod claims it’s certification because it was tested just like a child’s car seat & it passed. This little one means just as much to me as my other one did when she req her car seat. It’s expensive, but she’s worth it. To help her adapt i road in the back w/her the first few trips while my husband drove. We bought a uv charged fan w/a light that we could hang over the car door for her comfort. When it’s time for us to leave she she hops right in & off we go.
