| car sick puppy I'll be traveling to michigan from california in 2 weeks. I'm taking the southern route through texas to georgia to visit various friends on the way. Of course my babies are going also and all do well in the car except my puppy Rita. She's 4 months old and wants to go with me and the other dogs but gets sick about half the time. There doesn't seem to be a pattern as to anything as to when or why she has problems. We'll be gone about a month so I 'm a little hesitant about medicating her so frequently, especially at such a young age. Any suggestions? |

| Does she travel in a carrier or in a car seat. I know I get car sick sometimes and I do better with fresh air vs air conditioning. Maybe others will have good a ideas.

| I adopted my lil boy he was 2 1/2 y/o I have him 9 months now. He would get car sick, so he only went in the car for vet visits. I bought a booster seat in June, strap goes overhead rest, another strap goes around the back of the seat. The seat is suspended OFF the passenger seat. NO MORE CAR SICKNESS, he sits in his booster seat like a king on his throne. He can see out of the windows, now when I tell him he is going bye-bye in the car, he runs to where his harness is kept instead of running under the bed. Name of booster seat purchased at Pet supplies…. Tagalong Pet Booster Seat…large size holds up to 18 Lb dog. Basket dimensions: 16” W x 14”D x 8” H Cody weighs 12 lbs. he has enough room to sleep in this size seat. I am attaching a pic of Cody in the booster seat. (What you see under the booster seat is Cody's "stuff" bag it is not touching the seat at all) Have a great vacation. Good luck on your trip

| One of my yorkies gets car sickness too from traveling for a couple of hours. What I do is strap her into the seat with a canine seatbelt. She got used to it after traveling a for few times. |

| We've traveled 2200 miles and Rita only threw up once. I go easy on the food and water before driving and offer small amounts of water more frequently than normal. She does well in the car seat. |
