| I didn't think DH would go along with taking both dogs on vacation but he did. If you go knowing there will be limitations on what you can do and where you can go I think taking a dog on vacation is enjoyable. I'm glad Bella got to enjoy all of her vacations and she enjoyed the beach. What good memories you have of her.

| I made a photo album of Sophie Kate on Miramar Beach, if you want to go to my album and check it out. Also I will include a picture of the Condo we rented thru VRBO. We went on the beach exactly once befores he was asked to "leave" but she had a great time. We did go to Seaside also and she went on the beach and had run in with a Seagull (she wanted to chase it). I think you can get a permit from Fort Walton Beach County to take your dogs on the beach.

She was our little angel! She was a rescue and for me I always felt good that she had a better life with us and that she "lived large" verses in a crate never going anywhere. For me I have always felt like not only would I miss my pup but I would not relax and enjoy by worrying about her missing me! We planned vacations around being able to take her. I feel fortunate that my DH and kids understand and just know that is how it is! (Probably because they know I would drive them nuts and not relax) It is also refreshing to see places be so accommodating for people whose dogs are their family. We have a brewery/restaurant a few minutes from our house that we frequent in the summer because they allow us to dine outside with our pup. We pick this restaurant over MANY others just for that reason. :-) LOVE the picture of your babies on the beach...sandy noses are adorable!!

| Awww Bellajayne... Ur girl sure traveled! I'm sure ur little boy will enjoy his first trip! Richards6402 I figured nasty irresponsible pet owners were @fault for the strict rules in FL! I guess even if my lil boy can't be with me @beach @least he won't be too far. |

| In Destin Maravilla condos have pet friendly condos...just across the street from the beach, but nothing blocking your view. Also Beach Retreat, Majestic Sun and Leeward Key have some pet friendly units. Most of those are in Miramar Beach, but still considered part of Destin. Further in Destin you could try Sandollar Townhomes. Unless you are a resident in Destin, you cannot have a dog on the beach. Even as a resident you need a permit. They will ticket you. I've been coming to Destin for over 25 years. I'm hoping to retire there one day. If you need any other tips, let me know. Restaurants, shopping, things to do...

| No problem...Have a great vacation. It's hot here in The Tampa area. Today around noon it was whopping 97 degrees and the humidity made it feel like it was in the 100's.

| I was at my Dentist today and we were talking about taking our dogs on vacation, the receptionist suggested a place in Florida on the panhandle called Cape San Blas, said it is very dog friendly including the beaches. Anyone been there?
