| Travel questions Hello there ladies and gents!! I have two five month old yorkie (male) and yorkiepoo (female) they are 4lbs each. My husband and I are going from dallas to NJ, we have decided to take the puppies with us so they can meet his family up there (his mum also has a yorkie and has been begging to see our babies!). They will be traveling together in the same carrier in the cabin. (i checked the weight and dimensions and they can travel in the same carrier). So here is my question!! Any suggestions on what to do before & during the flight? Like any way to prepare them for the flight, how to keep them comfortable, what to expect, etc. (they will be almost 7 months by the time we travel). Also, a friend told me you can give them a half a benadryl to calm them down for the flight, but that doesnt seem right to me, especially if they are only 4lbs. Also, we do have a layover (for like an hr maybe less), will i be able to take them out during our layover in the gate??? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!! |

| an hour is not enough time to take them outside. Security reasons. I dont think giving them the appropriate amount of benadryl is wrong. If it reduces their anxiety, and is safe. Good luck. I too am getting ready for a trip with my 5month old Kewpie. We will be driving for a few days to our destination. Planning lots of stops to exercise her. she still is a energetic puppy!!!! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | This is super late I know but wearing a thunder shirt if one of them Is very timid is a good idea. There are also calm tablets out there just use them in advance just incase your dog has an allergic reaction to them. We would also recommend getting sherpa cases.
