YorkieTalk Newbie! | To bring or not to bring?? I recently brought my sweet baby Bree home. She is 9 weeks old and 1.5 pounds. I have to go to a softball tournament this weekend and the temps are expected to reach the 100s :-(. I am having a dilemma as to whether I should take Bree or leave her home??? The games are usually 12-14 hours and I hate to leave her home alone that long, but I also don't know if having her out in the heat is good either. We have a tent with a battery operated fan that we stay under during the tournaments. I don't have anyone to leave her with :-(. Anyone have any suggestions??

| Bree is way too young to stay home alone. Her low weight combined with very young age puts her at high risk for hypoglycemia. Either of those scenarios are very dangerous for tiny baby Bree. Please contact your vet and have her boarded for the day so she can be closely monitored. My AAHA vet charges $15/day to keep my pups overnight. I think its worth $150/ night not to lose your baby needlessly.

| Definitely take advice given here...don't leave her alone...and no to the heat. I had a test up in phx the second week we had Oliver, we took him with us and hubby stayed with him in the room while I went to the civic center...then back home. Good luck with your baby and your tournament!

And added to that - I wouldn't leave any dog alone, at any age - for 12-14 hours, it's way too long. Hope you manage to get her sorted out! Sally + Harry x | |

| You have been given very good advice, its way to hot to keep a little one outside even with a fan
